The Evergreen SC Board Elections will be taking place at the Snohomish County PUD Building on July 19^th, 7:30 p.m. at the Club's General Meeting and the following positions are open for nominations;  Vice-President of Facilities, Vice-President of Organization, President, Secretary and one Team Representative.   Each of these positions will be elected to a two year term in the odd number calendar year. The Treasurer position is also open at this time.  These are volunteer positions that help the club function and we really need families to help out.  Below you will find the job descriptions for each position.

Each Evergreen SC team should elect an adult from their team to represent and cast the vote for their team in regards to each of the Board positions that are up for election this year.  This person can be the team manager or it may be another person from the team.

Evergreen Soccer Club Board Member Descriptions:

President: The President shall be the chief executive officer of EVERGREEN and, subject to the direction and control of the Board of Directors, shall have general charge and supervision over its property, business and affairs.  The President shall preside at meetings of the members and Board of Directors. 

Vice President of Organization: The duties of the Vice President of Organization shall include risk management, human resources, bylaws, policies and procedures, judicial, and other duties as may be assigned by the President or Board of Directors pertaining to the organization and operation of EVERGREEN.  In the absence of the President or his/her inability to act, the Vice President of Organization shall act in his/her place and stead and shall have the powers and authority of the President, except as limited by resolution of the Board of Directors.

Vice President of Facilities:  The duties of the Vice President of Facilities shall include field scheduling, game scheduling, referees, game day operations, acquisition and maintenance of club equipment and other duties as may be assigned by the President or Board of Directors. 

Vice President of Development: The duties of the Vice President of Development shall include management and direction of the coaching director and coaches, development programs for coaches and players, development programs for the Clubs of the Affiliated Members, programs for players interested in playing in college, and other duties as may be assigned by the President or the Board of Directors.

Secretary:  The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the Voting Members and of the Board of Directors meetings in one or more books provided for that purpose.  The Secretary shall see that all notices are duly given in accordance with the provision of these Bylaws or as required by law.  The Secretary shall be the custodian of the EVERGREEN records and keep a register of the post office and electronic addresses of each Voting Member and Officer, which shall be furnished to the Secretary by such Voting Members and Officers.  In general, the Secretary shall perform all duties incident to the office of Secretary and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to the Secretary by the President or by the Board of Directors,.

Treasurer: The Treasurer shall have the custody, control and disposition of the funds and securities of EVERGREEN and shall account for the same; and, at the expiration of his/her term of office, shall turn over to his/her successor all property of EVERGREEN in his/her possession.  It is the Treasurer's duty to disburse EVERGREEN funds for any and all registration fees to other soccer associations on a timely basis.  The Treasurer will determine the validity of any other financial obligations of EVERGREEN and, if valid, to disburse EVERGREEN funds for said obligations.  The Treasurer shall collect any fees due EVERGREEN from any teams or individuals.  The duties of Treasurer shall include accounting, budget, compliance with IRS and other federal and state rules and regulations, and monthly financial statements to the Board of Directors.

Member Representatives:  Member Representatives shall be responsible for representing team issues and concerns to the Board, for communication of Board activity back to teams, for solicitation of volunteers for Board appointed committees, and other duties as may be assigned by the President or Board of Directors.
